On the second Thursday of every month we will be having Open Home Night! It’s a night where you can sign up to go to a Canadian family’s home and have dinner with them. You can sign up up as a group of 5 or less or just yourself and then we will organize a home for you to go to. 😊

The Canadian family will pick you up from the Lambton College bus loop if you don’t have your own car. We also will accommodate any dietary restrictions. The google form to signup has a spot for dietary restrictions (ex. No eggs, vegetarian, allergies, ect.). For any who have never been before, this is different from our regular large events. You are going to someone’s home for dinner so we are strict about being late, not showing up, and canceling. The google form has all the details for signing up but here is some important information to remember.

Do NOT cancel last minute or be late to the pickup location. We are very strict about canceling because it’s considered rude in Canadian culture to not show up.
Canadians usually eat earlier around 5:00 or 5:30 PM. We can accommodate for 6:00 PM if you have a later class but please put that in the google form if you can’t do 5:00 PM (see the additional notes question).
