Steve Kember, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour on April 25, 2026, in his 83rd year.
Steve was born on February 7, 1944, in Sarnia, Ontario, to John and Alma Kember, the second oldest of 11 children. As a young teen, he trusted Christ as his personal Saviour through the Bible verse: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15.
Steve and Merle were married on July 1st, 1966, and together they spent many years serving the Lord through ministry in the West Indies, Southwestern Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta and Saskatchewan. For the past 15 years they were known and loved through the Prince Albert community sharing the message of God’s love and forgiveness to all. Steve’s dedication in sharing the message of Christ to others has touched more lives than we will ever know.
Steve is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Merle (Russell) of almost 60 years, 3 daughters; Lydia (Ron), Lisa, Zonya (Jim); 7 grandchildren, Victoria (Michael), Austin (Melanie), Rachelle (Brad), Nelson, Isaiah (Leah), Marissa and Devon as well as 6 great-grandchildren and 7 siblings. Steve is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey (1992).
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 29th at 11:30 am, at Prince Albert Baptist Church, 60 12th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. The service will be preceded by a Visitation at 10:00 am. Reception to follow at Plaza 88 – 888 Central Ave. For those unable to attend, a live stream link may be viewed by visiting www.pabaptist.ca.
